Kaikoura Lookout

The Kaikoura Lookout at Palliser Ridge is a one bedroom, off grid
retreat in the South Wairarapa.
Located in the middle of the working farm, this Farm Stay allows you to
take in as much, or as little of the rural surrounds as you’d like.
Enjoy switching off amongst the native bush and listen to the birdlife.
The hut, built from Macaracarpa milled on farm, the hot water and
cooking is all powered by gas, and the power source for the remainder of
the Kaikoura Lookout are the solar panels fixed on the roof.
Take in a farm tour, visit Cape Palliser or relax in the KiwiTub with
your favourite Martinborough drop.

Under the Stars: Wairarapa Astronomy

Under The Stars: Wairarapa Astronomy is an astronomy tour business providing stargazing experiences and education to Wairarapa venues, special events and festivals. Under The Stars aims to educate schools and heritage institutions about astronomy and the value of the night sky.

Under The Stars; Wairarapa Astronomy is run by Becky Bateman, a passionate amateur astronomer, who used to work at Space Place, (nee Carter Observatory) for the last seven years. She will be working with John Whitby at Star Field from 2019 for the ultimate astronomy tour within the region; Under the Stars at Star Field.
